DESCRIPTION:La Escuela de Historia de la Universidad Finis Terrae y el Museo de Arte Colonial de San Francisco\, junto a la Comunidad de Estudios Medievales\, invitan a la conferencia “Fray Mícheál Ó Cléirigh (ofm) al rescate de la historia: Una introducción a las fuentes primarias de la Irlanda medieval” del Dr. Exequiel Monge-Allen (University of Galway\, Comunidad de Estudios Medievales). \nEn el siglo XVII\, justo cuando la opresión inglesa alcanzaba su punto más álgido bajo Oliver Cromwell\, un grupo de franciscanos irlandeses\, liderados por Fray Mícheál Ó Cléirigh\, retornaba clandestinamente de su exilio en Lovaina para emprender la más grandiosa empresa de recopilación.
